Xft hinting options in CVS

Just finished a system install including recent xfce from CVS. Hinting 
works fine, that says it was off when I logged in the first time. I 
enabled hinting and voila, hinting settings were applied and saved 
correctly (gtk+ 2.4.0). Dunno what could be wrong here.
