last roundtrip

Hi all,

Okay, last roundtrip: Does anybody have anything to do/fix before the
final release?

If not, we shall "reactivate" the release team and prepare preliminary
tarballs. Then tag and branch 4.0.

Comments? Objections, anybody? Edscott, Jasper...
