distcheck fixed (Was: Re: Installing files out of prefix)

Right, I can pass distcheck by removing a dependency on update-po from
the dist target in po/Makefile.in.in. Is there any reason I should not
remove that? The files are suposed to be ready for distribution, so
update-po should not be required.
