I guess you forgot to mention, a couple of things in the xfce4 feature
list :

1) Unlike xfce3, xfce4 provides a developpment framework for
applications
2) xfce4 provide MCS, the multi-channel settings, a modular, host
independent, network transparent centralized configuration system.
mcs is compatible with xsettings standard

I think both are important to mention.
