Yeah, you are right.

But I still do not know, whether it has been fixed, or not. If it's
fixed, I have no reason to d/l the CVS version and check it, I would
just wait for a newer version to appear in Debian. If, on the other
hand, it has _not_ been fixed yet, I might try to find some time to
check it, or maybe even take a look at it.

With all respect, is saying "yes", or "no", or "sorry, I'm not sure"
that hard?
