It seems that your pango isn't 'in-sync' with XFree86 libs, or atleast I 
had those errors with suse 8.1 and XFree 4.3 and pango 1.0 (if I
remember correctly). what version of XFree86 & pango you have?
(well,maybe a long shot ;)
