Xinerama window positions

I installed Debian unstable packages so I don't know.  Other than this,
Xinerama works as expected.. windows maximize to their monitor and not across
both.

How could I really tell if Xinerama were enabled?  Do I need to refer to the
Debian build files, or is there another way to know it's working?
