Please try these panel updates (Was: Re: panel autohide bug)

JAsper,

Same problem here too... The panel is almost in the middle of the screen
instead of being on the screen edge. Looks like a random place, although
I tried twice and got the same placement twice...

I'll look into it if I have some time.
