Oh, I am not doubting you; just letting you know that it does not happen here.
You have been testing xffm a lot and maybe your setup is what is making that
happen: One xffm widget is interfering with another...
I, OTOH, use emelfm and have not used xffm very much so the config is exactly
as it was at install.
