xffm crash

This is most unusual.  The crash could be avoided by testing the value
of `string before calling g_strchug or g_strchomp. The problem is that
neither function is called anywhere in xffm. This probably means you
have some pre-rc1 xffm libraries somewhere since I might have used those
functions before. Please remove libxffm* from all directories in ld's
path and reinstall.
