Hi:
Just to let you know.
I, a few minutes ago:
opened settings manager
opened 'backdrops'
selected ' new list '
added all the default pngs from the xfce install
changed the save to dir to a more convenient location
clicked on save
* lost theme settings and everything reverted to a default plain gray *
(window decors stayed ok)
* mcs- manager crashed and dumped core *
gdb:
Core was generated by `xfce-mcs-manager'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.
#0 0x40962ccb in ?? ()
(bt just gives more of the same "??")
Settings manager will not start from the panel but will start from the
Desktop menu "All settings" item(thank goodness xfdesktop is running)
As soon as it loads, everything returns to normal and the theme is
back.
I repeated it -twice.
The second time I only added one file and did not change the 'save-to'
location.
This is beta 2 with updated libxfce4util and libxfcegui4 to 3.92 and
xfce-utils from CVS a few days back so that I can run the xfce4-session
(currently 0.21 here).
Is it because of the hybrid beta?
( BTW, chbg and deskmenu are not running. )
I have three core dumps but i did not build with enable full debug;
want any of them?
=====
Have A Great Day!
Ric
