I like the default menu so I just used contents from
/etc/xfce4/menu.xml to reinsert it
(Thanks for having it there as a backup.)
and added
<menu name="MenuMaker" visible="yes">
...
</menu>
for the MenuMaker menus(what I thought it was going to do).
Also, while I was editing it, I changed
<app name="Web Browser" cmd="mozilla"/>
to:
<app name="Web Browser" cmd="sh -c $BROWSER"/>
so "Web Browser" would open the system defined
browser(Galeon currently).
So far, mmaker works good...
