You lose your bet. :-(

Deleted old src trees, did a fresh checkout, rebuilt all, changed
startup script and still no joy. The xfwm-mcs-plugin's changes are
reflected in ~/.xfce4/xfwm4.xml but do not cause any changes to xfwm4.

Somebody SHOOT me! What an idiot I am!

Last week, along with my upgrade to xfce with mcs plugins I shifted my
xfce4 install from /usr/local to /usr. Unfortunately, I forgot to delete
xfwm4 along with all the other binaries ...

Goddammit!
