OT(ish) Colours

I know this is only indirectly related to xfce4 -- sorry, but someone here
probably knows the answer and it is related to xfce4 usability.

Is there a tool of setting up widget colours in gtk+ in general? I'd
rather not have to use a gnome tool just to get xfce4 to have widgets with
anything other than the rather uninspiring battleship grey of default
GTK+.
