Xfwm4 can handle this already if the theme provides the corresponding
icons. I think the themes "gtk" and "default" have those icons already
defined. To see which icons you need additionally, just type

  ls /usr/local/share/xfwm4/themes/gtk/*toggled*

Would be nice if anyone can provide the *toggled*.xpm's for some more
themes.
