Not necessarily. Different shortcut themes to mimic other popular window
managers/environments would be more usefull I think.

It's already the case if you use either the keyboard to switch workspace
ot the wheel mouse.

If you click on the panel, the panel gets the focus so that the previous
focused window is the panel. We could make the panel unfocusable (like
the desktop of the taskbar) but I'm strongly against that because that
would prevent keyboard navigation on the panel.
