Something's really wrong here [was: Bugs in xfce-mcs-manager and xfdesktop]

Well, the obvious first question is, what happens when you move
.gtkrc-2.0 out of the way? And perhaps also ~/.xfce4/settings/gtk.xml.

Interestingly, the crash is in gtk, not in xfce code ... (the settings
manager still may have caused it of course).
