This is part of the docs for xffm. Do you consider it clear and
complete? If not, why not?
-------------------------
Image previews in xffm.
By default, automatic image previewing is off in xffm. You may turn it
on by selecting the "options->image auto previews" from the main menu
(or typing ALT-I from the keyboard). This option will not persist from
session to session unless you choose "options->save configuration" from
the main menu.
Alternately, if you do not want to enable image previews for all
directories, you can right click on any directory and toggle the
"Preview images" line. This will enable/disable image previews for that
directory and all its children directories.
Both of the above image previews are subjected to a maximum image size
of 256 KB. If you desire to change this limit, modify the
XFFM_MAX_PREVIEW_SIZE from the xfce-mcs-manager. To make changes
permanent, define the appropriate value in your environment.
If you want to preview a single image regardless of size, right click on
the file and the popup will display a line "Preview this image". This
will generate a decent size preview regardless of size.
Files must have a image file extension for the preview functions to work
correctly.
