Panel autohide fixes

Jasper,

I've committed two changes to the panel :

1) I removed the call to gtk_window_present() because it's causing a
focus change (very user unfriendly)

2) I purge gtk events on panel orientation change because it was causing
the panel to be set right in the middle of the screen when switching
from vertical mode to horizontal.

I still have a problem, when I log out/log on, the panel sometimes is
located on the top left corner (which is definitely not the place I left
it).
