New xffm bug(s)

Thanks for the traceback. I guess I was a bit tired last night. I was
freeing memory twice for the fix of the codeset problem shown in
Olivier's screenshot.  CVS is now being updated and the text problem is
gone.

btw, I'll fix the cleanup_tmpfiles() issue later today. Thanks for the
