it's pity that sf fSCks you off but if you want to bee up to date you can use 
the dailies found at

http://www.xfce.org/archive/xfce4-cvs-snapshot.tar.bz2

which are not as up to data as cvs but what are 24h. you can also use the script 
by nestu and benny to automate the build

so i hope you will stay in the circle of people using the actual xfce4 
develeoper version :)
