cvsup to 4.6.2 or 4.7-stable(release) make world if you can
and then install http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/libtool/libtool-1.4.2.tar.gz

I'm not sure what all using this version of libtool might break, but
you can build xfce4 with it.
