I checked and I do not see anything about "presentation mode" in the
power manager settings. I see these three pages:

https://imgur.com/dhXDAM3.png
https://imgur.com/Qosvqa1.png
https://imgur.com/1jRxMGc.png

I added the system tray icon and I see that I can right click on the
little battery symbol and presentation mode is NOT active.

Great advice, thank you so much!

Howdy, all!

I'm running Fedora 40 with Xfce 4.18, specifically
xfce4-screensaver-4.18.3-1.fc40.x86_64. I configure the
screensaver to use one of the xscreensaver-provided screen
savers (xscreensaver-gl-extras-6.09-1.fc40.x86_64).

If I manually lock the screen, it works just fine. But if I
walk away from my computer, after the timeout I've defined,
the screensaver is not activated. I am not even really sure
where to look for log entries regarding the screensaver.

It feels like when I first log in, the screensaver works.
But once I have a few apps running, the screensaver stops
kicking in. I have tried enabling and disabling "inhibit
screensaver for fullscreen apps" - no difference.

Screen shots of how my screen saver is configured below.
(I have power management turned off, I like the screensaver
being visible).
Any recommendations on how to chase this down?
