Hello:

Please, can anyone give me a clue as to where to look or what may be
the cause of this behavior change?

Very thanks.
Hello:

I did clean installations of Debian Stretch, Debian Buster, Xubuntu
18.04 and 19.10.

In Debian Stretch (xfce 4.14.1), in Appearance when I set:
Enable Anti-aliasing -> True
Hinting-> Full
DPI, Custom dpi setting -> 118.

The line of the font is more thin (in debian stretch) that in Debian
Buster, xubuntu 18.04 and 19.10 (xfce 4.12.4 and 4.14).
When doing the same configuration (Debian Buster, xubuntu 18.04 and
19.10 (xfce 4.12.4 and 4.14) the font are more thicker.

I dont know how to make get same thin font for xfce in xubuntu 18.04
or 19.10.
I send screenshots.

I hope he has explained me better now.

Hello:
Someone knows how to do that Xfce 4.14 to draw fine-grained fonts just
as 4.12 did?
With the new version 4.14 I don't know how to display the fonts the same
way.
I provide a snapshot where you can see the differences for help.

The screenshots you provided are from Settings Manager | Appearance |
Fonts (on an English system).
I don't know--the two screenshots look identical to me as far as font
display goes.
There are differences that appear to be changes that arise from the use
of a different theme in Settings Manager | Appearance | Style. Is
Greybird the style for both screenshots?
One of the things I like about xfce and xubuntu is the solid display of
fonts. From what I have seen, this trend continues from 4.12 to 4.14
(xubuntu 18.04 to 19.10).
