<div dir="ltr"><font style="font-size:10pt;" color="#000000" face="Verdana,sans-serif" size="2">Hi<br><br>I've recently installed Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon on a laptop to give it a try. While Cinnamon is OK it's still not really to my liking so I installed Xfce 4.10 from the Mint repository alongside, and now use that. Everything is fine except the desktop icon layout.<br><br>I like to arrange my icons in rows, grouped by category - multimedia, office, etc. When I used 4.8 on Debian the icon layout held indefinitely from session to session but now it seldom survives one reboot, though on occasion 2 or 3. I can't establish a pattern. It doesn't make any difference whether I check "Save session for future logins" or not.<br><br>Does anybody know of a cure or workaround?<br><br>Thanks<br><br>Nige<br id="FontBreak"></font><br><br><div><br></div></div>
