A bounce is an SMTP response given by a receiving mail server. If I'm not
mistaken, this would be the xfce.org mailing list as the sender, and zoho.com
as the receiver. From there onwards, the emails are supposed to go into
delivery to the user, first on server and then over IMAP. Often it's Microsoft
and Google that would bounce email IME. It needs to be discussed with customer
support for postmasters, or resolved through a form if they have one (e.g.
JMRP for Microsoft, not sure about Google). Maybe Zoho has something like that
too.
Judging from how they laid out their mail servers, they have 2 public-facing
endpoints for it. Those endpoints are part of their own AS2639, which appears
to be a large hosting provider. I'll attach a shell log showing how I came to
these conclusions.
FWIW, I did receive your response about the oneko script. Thank you for that.
I'll take a look at it shortly, perhaps over the weekend or next week. There
are still a few things that need priority on my end.
