$ echo $XDG_DATA_DIRS
/home/todd/.local/share/flatpak/exports/share:/var/lib/flatpak/exports/share:/usr/local/share/:/usr/share/:/var/lib/snapd/desktop:/usr/share

It is definitely scanning /usr/share.

I think I will adjust the "depth" on my find command.
