Zaphod mode (dual head) with Xfce 4.16?

One other point to consider: X11 is being replaced by Wayland.  I have no
idea how soon that is coming for Xfce, but most of what we are discussing
here will probably be a moot point in the future.  I've not been to happy
with transitions like this in the past.

Does anyone with Wayland familiarity have any idea about whether it supports
desktop independence on multiple monitors, or what the status of multiple
monitor support is in general?
