Also, note the "if" above, because surely xfce is not the only desktop out
there, so either that specific application misbehaves with xfwm4 only, and
that needs to be investigated on the xfce side, or it affects all desktops
and window managers alike and that needs to be fixed in the application.

Either way, adding hacks in the window manager to work around the issue is
not the solution, it never has been.
