Xfce reporting a lot more RAM usage?

In the screenshot attached and also available at
https://imgur.com/a/RlWnFb6 , `free -h` reports used+shared as 2.65
GB, which is correctly shown by `htop` too.

xfce4-taskmanager shows 6.2 GB (52%), how did it arrive at this amount?

xfce4-systemload-plugin shows 3.2 GB, both seem to be just miscalculating.

This also makes it seem Xfce4 is using way more RAM than it actually is!
