When toy ssh in, go to root, do "init 3", rename /home/user_name/.local 
to  /home/user_name/local_bak and /home/user_name/.config 
/home/user_name/config_bak. Do "init 5".

That way you still have the settings files, if you need them. Delete 
them if you are ready with them. The 'init 3' first is so the wrong 
settings are not saved.
