xfce4-mouse-settings: touchpad only recognized as mouse

Dear Xfce folks,


With xfce4-mouse-settings 4.12.2 from Debian Sid/unstable, the touchpad 
on the Dell XPS 13 9370 is only recognized as a mouse, so I am unable to 
configure the “tapping behavior”.

I do not see anything in the 4.12.3 release notes, saying this is fixed 
there, so do you know, if I am doing anything wrong or is it bug #14085 [1]?
