XFCE4 TIMER -

I have used the xfce timer for a couple of years [fedora] and never had 
a problem, it just worked until recently. Now in fedora 27 it never 
saves the configuration, timer parameters have to be set up each time I 
start it which makes it too much of a bother to use very often ...

Can I set it up by editing a file, which one?
