If i got you right, all you want is to open a terminal in your home
directory?

Why don't you just use the default keyboard shortcut for opening a
terminal, which is Super(Windows)+t or ctrl+alt+t on most distros. If
there is none, assign one. The terminal always opens in your ~ by default.
