Missing Desktop

Never mind.  When I found the keyboard wasn't working
at boot, I just overwrote the drive.  Sounds way more
drastic than it is.  This is a flash drive I have a
dd gold copy I just over wrote the drive.  I use this
flash drive to rescue machines and it get corrupted
A LOT!  So, I just overwrite it when that happens.
