How to easily take a screenshot of the expanded menu?

Dear Xfce folks,

How can I make a screenshot of the Xfce menu by grabbing the area by itself?

The command below does not work.

```
$ delay 2; import /dev/shm/arbitrary_name.png
import: unable to grab mouse `': Resource temporarily unavailable @
error/xwindow.c/XSelectWindow/9182.```
Using `xfce4-screenshooter` also did not work, as despite the delay, the
mouse pointer is already in the “grab mode”, and I am unable to expand
the menu.
I worked around it, by making a screenshot of the entire desktop, then
cut it myself with GIMP.
Kind regards,
Paul
