Switch to active terminal instead of open new one

Is there a keyboard shortcut I can create that will let me get back to last
used terminal instead of opening a new instance? Bad habit of mine I've
been meaning to correct. Always wind up with 10 terminal windows by the end
of a session and can't remember why many of them are there.

Any help appreciated.
