Hi Paul,

I have three machines running FC26 now and have not noted
the problems you described.  This doesn't mean they don't
exist though, which is a change.  Usually I am the only
one that trips across this stuff.

Trying downloading a Live USB image and booting off it
and see if the problems reproduce:

Use dd to cut the flash drive.  (This ain't a Windows ISO.)
