window switcher

Hello,

Is it possible to use the "non-compositor" window switcher while using a
compositor?

I have been trying the compton compositor with XFCE and it works pretty
well, except when switching windows with the "cycle_draw_frame" option
turned on.  The shadow in front of the selected window is too dark and
obscures the view [1], and other times the selected window has no shadow at
all [2].

I suspect that the plain window switcher version that only draws a frame
around the selected window would work better.
