command for battery status?

My old thinkpad had a function key which displayed the battery status
((dis)charging and capacity) for some seconds.
My new thinkpad do not has such a key any more.
Which is the command to show the battery status?
I know how to bind a command to a key sequence, but I have to know this
command :-}

(This is XFCE 4.12 / Xubuntu 16.04)
