no more xsnow

transparent background does not help.
disabling xfdesktop with option -Q makes xsnow visable, but then I lose
the background menu on right mouse click :-(

Plan B: is there any other program which provides an (alternative) menu on
right mouse click?

I am not stuck with xfdesktop, I only need an application menu.
