Parole needs RTMP protocol source

Hi,

I am on Debian Sid, using parole 0.8.1.

I am trying to play an rtmp-stream with parole at
  
  rtmp://lvs.wowza.jay.net/webstream/flv:pandion1
  
But I am informed that:

     Additional software is required.
  
  Parole needs RTMP protcol source to play this file.
  It can be installed automatically.
  
Then I click "Install" - but nothing is installed.

It used to work until recently but after I uninstalled all
packages from the Debian Multimedia repo, because it screwed up
some things, it has not worked.  Maybe I uninstalled something
from that repo that parole needs?
