[4.10, Xubuntu] Preferred applications: Firefox 36 issue

Hi list,

can someone confirm that Firefox 36.0 does not follow external links
(links from other applications like e.g. Thunderbird) as long as the
browser is set to "Firefox"?

Changing to "Debian Sensible Browser" instead of "Firefox" makes it work
again. That does not happen with other browsers here (Xubuntu 14.04.2).
