I have all my non-Linux (mainly .ttf) fonts under /home/MyFonts/ with /home residing on a separate HD, which I do not connect and mount during an install (was bit once by an OS that formatted _all_ HDs in the box ;-3(

After a new install I connect the HD, and create the needed line in /etc/fstab, mount /home and make my fonts available to the system with

# ln -s /home/MyFonts/ /usr/share/fonts/truetype/
# fc-cache -f -v

Cheers,

Ron.
