Disable application menu?

I deleted all the previous e-mails and that was a big oops, but if you 
are referring to the right-click on the desktop it's in the Desktop > 
Icons > Icon type.
Not sure which of the choices but I know it affected my desktop as in: 
Application Menu vs Create launcher, Desktop settings, etc.
