show/display keyboard layout

Hello,

I've been back to XFCE since it reintroduced "raise-or-lower" keyboard
shortcut :-) Now using 4.10 on Xubuntu 13.10 machine.

I have a keyboard layout question. Googled to no success. Is it
possible to show/display current/any keyboard layout? I do write in
"accented" languages occasionally, mostly using the "dead key"
international configurations. The positions of different accents on
the keyboard is far from intuitive, e.g. to get "acute" (') over a
letter, one has to press DeadKey and Semicolon, not the Apostrophe.

Unfortunately the Keyboard Layout configuration window lacks the "Show
Current Layout" button which is present in its Gnome equivalent.

So, my question again:

Is it possible to show/display current/given keyboard layout? Or print it.

regards, Michal.
