Session save doesn't seem to save terminal workspace

OK, so I want to build xfce4-terminal from the source as I can't find a
ready built one.

I know the usual procedure as I've previously built xfce4-settings-4.6.5
to incorporate a patch.

However with xfce4-terminal I'm stumped as there's no INSTALL file with
instructions (although the README says there should be an INSTALL) and
there's no configure file to start the "./configure;make;make install"
sequence.

How do I compile this thing?
