Panel fails to auto-hide

I am in XFCE, I bring my cursor down to the bottom of the screen to open the panel (which is set to auto-hide), I click on the Clipman icon, and choose the line in Clipman which I want; the Clipman window closes, but the panel remains visible until I click on it.

How do I get it to auto-hide ?

xfce4-panel 4.10.1 and Clipman 1.2.5, running under SolydX.
