It appears the Gnome guys have removed the gdu-notification-daemon from
gnome-disk-utility after 3.0.2 version.
So, if you want to have gdu-notification-daemon in your system you must
install 3.0.2 or earlier version.
I'm using Debian Testing and the gnome-disk-utility 3.0.2 was in stable,
so is easy to install. Maybe you must look for an early version package
in your distro too.

The Gnome people are started a happy course to remove interesting
options of all his software... maybe the Gnome 4 version will be
console-only ... :P
