That site talks about using nvidia-settings and that is not in the repo
anymore. :-( Yet now I know what I should be searching for and that is
'overscan' and 'underscan'.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I have been in a situation
in the past before where Windowmaker pointed to NVidia who pointed to
Linux who pointed to Windowmaker.

For that reason I tend to start where the problem is related from my point
of view and as XFCE doesn't work as expected, that is where I start. That
is often the frustrating part. Not finding a solution, because people keep
saying 'it works for me' from the developers side.

So again thanks for responding and pointing me in the right direction.
